S. C. "Duke" Watkins, Technical Consultant and Instructor

Duke formerly served as the Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Compliance Manager for AlliedSignal Inc. and is an experienced leader in transport safety and regulatory compliance in chemical transportation. He has developed and implemented transportation compliance programs and trained over 2,000 key personnel in transportation regulations and led a transportation compliance network for 25 businesses and over 220 manufacturing locations. He also served as the private truck fleet safety manager for a private fleet consisting of over 150 drivers and over 500 vehicles including tractors, van trailers, straight trucks and cargo tanks. He has managed chemical off-site emergency response programs and has excellent skills in presentation, building consensus, facilitating and leading programs. Mr. Watkins participates at the UN Sub Committee of Experts on the Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
