Anne Barry , Director, Marketing and Communications

Anne Barry is the Director, Marketing and Communications for Currie Associates, Inc. Anne’s primary responsibility is developing and managing marketing, communications, and promotional plans for Currie Associates. In this role, she is responsible for the following:

• Promotional Marketing | Create and execute yearly marketing plans and promotional campaigns for publication products, training, and consulting services. She designs promotional content and ensures appropriate distribution.
• Project/Training Management | Oversee instructor-led training, prepare client proposals and schedules for onsite and web-based training courses. She works directly with the Vice President on coordination and assignment for client consulting projects.
• Electronic Newsletter | Design, research articles, layout, and distribute client specific newsletters.
• Website Maintenance & Analytics | Update and maintain corporate website, including public pages, online shops, and navigational tools. Analyze website performance and provide solutions and implement changes to ensure optimal web content and functionality.
• Publications | Oversee regulatory publication sales, quotes, and inventory, and execute publication promotions.
• Administrative Responsibilities | Participate in strategic planning, assist with consulting projects, manage corporate calendar, and oversee administrative staff functions such as: database maintenance, and general office duties.

She currently serves as Director, Marketing and Communications for the Council on Safe Transportation of Hazardous Articles (COSTHA) and the International Vessel Operators Dangerous Goods Association, Inc. (IVODGA).

Anne received her Master of Business Administration degree and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont.

On a personal level, Anne enjoys winter hiking; she completed the Lake George Winter 12ster Hiking Challenge and is working toward becoming an Adirondack 46er and completing the Fire Tower Hiking Challenge. She also enjoys travelling with her family and exploring national parks, some of her favorite travels so far are Iceland, Hawaii Volcano National Park, and the Rocky Mountains.
