Transporting Limited Quantities of Dangerous Goods in North America (49 CFR, TDGR, NOMs) 2021

This course is intended for the training of hazmat employees responsible for the handling, shipping or transportation of limited quantities of dangerous goods in North America. It has been designed to meet the function-specific training requirements of the regulations and can be used for initial and recurrent training.

The course meets the regulatory training standards set out in 49 CFR, Part 172, Subpart H, and in Mexican Official Standards (NOMS), for all employees involved in the safe transportation of dangerous goods. Training is not required to prepare materials under the limited quantity provisions in Canada.

 

Learning Objective(s)

  • Understanding the limitations and requirements of the limited quantity exception found in Section 1.17 of the Canadian TDG Regulations, in Mexican Official Standards (NOMS) and in the sections of 49 CFR referred to in column 8A of the Hazmat Table in § 172.101, for the safe the transportation of limited quantities of dangerous goods (DG)

  • Shippers, carriers and freight forwarders (i.e. dangerous goods employees and their supervisors) who handle, offer for transport or transport dangerous goods in limited quantities in North America

This course is intended for the training of hazmat employees responsible for the multimodal handling, shipping, or transportation of limited quantities of hazardous materials / dangerous goods internationally. It has been designed to meet the function-specific training requirements of the various regulations and can be used for initial and recurrent training.

The course meets the regulatory training standards set out in 49 CFR, Part 172, Subpart H, NOMS, in ADR, Part 1, Chapters 1.3 & 1.10, in the IMDG Code, Part 1, Chapters 1.3 and 1.4, and in the IATA DGR, Section 1.5, for all employees involved in the safe transportation of hazardous materials / dangerous goods.

Este curso está destinado a la capacitación de los empleados de materiales peligrosos responsables del manejo, envío o transporte multimodal de cantidades limitadas de materiales peligrosos / mercancías peligrosas a nivel internacional. Ha sido diseñado para cumplir con los requisitos de formación específicos de la función de las diversas normativas y se puede utilizar para la formación inicial y periódica.

 

El curso cumple con los estándares de capacitación regulatorios establecidos en 49 CFR, Parte 172, Subparte H, NOMS, en ADR, Parte 1, Capítulos 1.3 y 1.10, en el Código IMDG, Parte 1, Capítulos 1.3 y 1.4, y en el IATA DGR, Sección 1.5, para todos los empleados involucrados en el transporte seguro de materiales peligrosos / mercancías peligrosas.
